Located in the Villa Borghese, one of the main public park of Rome, the Galleria Borghese (Borghese Gallery), houses many sculptures and paintings from some of the best artist of the western art including Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Agnolo Bronzino, Antonio Canova, Caravaggio, Raphael, Pieter Paul Rubens, Titian.
Among the masterpieces: Pauline Bonaparte by Canova, Sacred and Profane Love by Titian, The Deposition by Raphael, many Bernini’s sculptures (Apollo and Daphne, David, Rape of Proserpine) and Caravaggio’s paintings (Young Sick Bacchus, Boy with a Basket of Fruit, David and Goliath).
